Information Technology I and II are designed to give students knowledge and hands-on experience in computer building and repair, software installation and troubleshooting, and basic networking skills.
At LHS, the courses consist of a web-based curriculum, developed by Cisco Systems, supplemented by lecture/demonstration, and both real and virtual labs. The courses are also supported by Oregon StRUT.
Information Technology I provides fundamental knowledge and skills, while Information Technology II addresses more advanced levels of computer hardware and software. Successful completion of the courses should prepare students to test for CompTIA A+ certification. Both are semester-long classes open to LHS students.
