Students who enroll in this class will be working on learning and maintaining good study techniques. Study skills will be taught or reviewed daily within the classroom setting.  When students are not reviewing or learning study skills, they will be expected to work quietly at their assigned seat.

Students enrolled in study skills are expected to do the following:

1. Arrive in the classroom ready to learn new skills---each day ALL students will have a short assignment to complete.  These assignments are manditory for ALL study skill students to complete.

2.  Bring classwork to work on -- each student is responsible for bringing work to complete from their other classes.

3.  Print off a copy of their grades once each week -- students need to learn how to monitor their own grades and determine what assignments need to be completed first.

Grading:

Students will have the chance to earn up to 10 points a day;  5 of these points will be participation points, the other 5 will be earned by completing the daily assignment.  Students will lose participation points for the following behaviors:

-2  for each tardy

-2 for  not bringing in classwork, talking during quiet work time, not behaving appropriately.
