MUSIC TEACHER 7-12 (half-time)

LCSD #7 is in search of a Music Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. Teaching grades 7-12 at the LHS/DMS schools. The projected start date is August 2024. FTE .5.  Salary Range $20,089 - $38,360. Open until filled.

SCIENCE TEACHER 7-12 (Two positions)

LCSD #7 is in search of two Science Teachers for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. Grades 7-12 at LHS/DMS schools with teaching slots of Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, Physical Science and science electives. The projected start date is August 21, 2024. FTE 1.0. Salary Range $40,178- $76,720. OPEN until filled. 

 Relocation Bonus - $1,000

Performance Bonus - $500 Paid in January

QUALIFICATIONS:   

1. A valid Oregon teaching certificate

2. Prior job-related experience desirable but not required

SUPERVISOR:          Principal

JOB GOAL:                To assist students in learning and developing skills which contribute to      their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:      

  1. Convenes and instructs assigned classes at designated locations and times.

  2. Adopts and uses teaching strategies designed to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.

  3. Creates and maintains a classroom environment which encourages learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

  4. Prepares well developed lesson plans and provides written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.

  5. Encourages students to develop and maintain appropriate standards of personal behavior.

  6. Guides the learner in achieving instructional outcomes by establishing and teaching to specific objectives.

  7. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media.

  8. Assists in the implementation of the District’s philosophy of education, instructional goals, and objectives.

  9. Assesses the achievement of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.

  10. Diagnoses the learning capabilities of students on a regular basis and seeks the assistance from available specialists as required.

  11. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions for the safety of students and the protection of equipment, materials, and facilities.

  12. Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulations.

  13. Assists in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student conduct.

  14. Develops fair and reasonable rules of student behavior and establishes procedures to maintain order in the classroom.

  15. Makes reasonable provisions for student and parent conferences.

  16. Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aides and/or volunteers and evaluates their job performance when requested.

  17. Strives to improve instructional skills and provisional competence.

  18. Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees, to include Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings, as required or requested.

 TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   Salary and other work conditions will be in accordance with bargaining agreement and Board policies.

SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVERS NEEDED

Lake County School District #7 needs substitute bus drivers. Wage rate is $20.53/hour. Training will begin immediately after applicant is approved. Applicant must pass a criminal history and driving history verification, take a pre-employment drug test, and is subject to US Dept of Transportation random drug testing. Substitute drivers are assigned a variety of trips including regular home-to-school routes, field trips, and out-of-town athletic trips. This is an ideal opportunity for those who are looking for or are currently working part-time or who are retired. Along with this position, training is available to obtain a school bus driving endorsement. Position is open until filled.

JV Football Coach - for the 2024 School Year

LCSD7 is looking for an JV Football Coach for the 2024 season. Job duties are to aid in coaching the district's high school Football program. Projected start date: August 2024. FTE: 1.0 split between two coaches. Salary Range: $4,043 - $4,376. This position is OPEN until filled.

Coach Responsibilities:

JV Offensive/Defensive coordinator

Attend and manage all aspects of JV football

Work directly with the head coach or defensive coordinator to develop and grow player skills at the JV level 

Complete all OSAA/NFS training requirements/CPR/First AID       

 Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Equipment inventory

  • Special teams game stats

  • Recruiting / Grade / Attendance tracking 

  • Offensive / Defensive / Special teams game film study / input

  • Assist with game day set up/take down

  • Weight room / locker room supervision

  • Obtain mini-bus license and transport JV players/equipment to games

  • Track players 6 quarter limit per week 

Practice Responsibilities:

  • Position fundamental progression / Every Day Drills for assigned group 

  • Provide input and help coordinators with specific practice roles (manage scout team, lead conditioning)

  • Coordinate Special teams

Game Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for JV games

  • Ensure / manage equipment for JV/Varsity games

  • Prior coordinating / high school coaching experience preferred

Middle School Volleyball Coach - for the 2024 School Year

LCSD7 is in search of a Middle School Volleyball Coach for the upcoming 2024 season. Working with the DMS girls volleyball team, grades 7 & 8. Projected start date - August 19, 2024. This is a temporary position, only for the 2024 season. Salary: $3,145 - $3,404. OPEN until filled.

 Special Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience

  • Knowledge of the game and fundamental skill development

  • Ability to communicate with kids

  • Must be able to obtain coaching certifications

  • Flexibility to travel and attend practices/games

  • CPR/First Aid certification

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude in an emotionally and physically fatiguing environment

  • Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
