After watching the Temple Grandin movie, the DMS Ag class designed a cattle corral that was durable, efficient, and effective. Students were creative in their designs and utilized skills of what they know about animal handling from Dr. Temple Grandin's "Principles of Low-Stress Cattle Handling."

Pictured is the winner of the "Class Favorite Design."

Fun Fact: Today, half the cattle in the U.S. and Canada are handled in equipment Temple Grandin designed for meat processing plants. These designs were made to decrease the amount of labor but increase the productivity of a rancher's ability to produce food.
