Horticulture has been busy learning about the characteristics of soil and how it helps plant growth. As a fun activity, students used edible materials to make a soil file and described each horizon and order of soil they had created.

This community is so amazing! Yesterday seniors started their job shadows. Stacy at Razor's Edge welcomed Haley to learn about waxing and nails. Today, Eli was with Tony at the Forest Service looking at timber sales. Thank you so much for helping these students and getting them excited about future careers!

The students at LHS/DMS have been so AMAZING so we have decided to have a pajama day. Even better if they sport their Honker gear and PJs. We are SO lucky to work with such a great group of kids. Thank you for sharing them with us. - LHS/DMS Admin

week two
Hello Families of LHS/DMS Students! Can you believe we are already 4 1/2 weeks into the school year?!?! That means, it's progress report time! With our new student management system, we have new features that allow us to communicate better with students and families throughout the year. This has changed the way we are sending out progress reports. Over the course of the day today, our teachers will be sending out progress reports for students in their classes. You will receive an individual email for each of your student's classes that explains their current grade and any missing assignments they may have. If you do not have a valid email address or do not have access to our ParentVUE portal, please call or stop by the LHS front office and we will get you connected as well as print a copy of your student's current grades. (541) 947-2287. Have a great day!
