LHS SENIOR PROJECT SPOTLIGHT - A new requirement for Lakeview High School seniors is a senior project. The following is a spotlight on one of the student led projects.
Brooke Frederick’s project involves Lake County history. Don Robinson, with the Robinson Ranch, has donated a wagon to Lake County for display purposes. This wagon has been used in his family for four generations including his great grandfather WT Cressler. Frederick has been helping county official Dave Berman to design the display for this wagon on county courthouse property. Frederick went before the Board of Commissioners to get approved for this project and is looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Many students from AD Hay's fifth grade class got together for two days after school to design and paint posters for the music float they will be riding on at the Irish Days Parade this weekend. Great work, students!
Math and Science Experiments at ADHay School!
AD Hay students learned how data could be collected, displayed and interpreted by doing air, soil and water experiments with Vernier temperature probes and Bluetooth connection to the Graphical analysis application on their Chromebooks. Thank you to EOREN (Eastern Oregon Regional Educator Network) for providing the probes.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!! Stop by the LHS gym tonight to watch community teams square off to win the title in Lakeview High School's Honor Society dodgeball tournament. The action starts a 6:30. It's $2.00 a person or 2 cans of food to enter. See you there!

Science meets shipbuilding! 4th-6th Grade Union students put their engineering skills to the test, crafting boats while learning about mass and volume. Then came the ultimate challenge-- how much work could their vessels hold before sinking?
Some boats floated like champions, others... well, let's just say they embraced the deep.
Who do you think took the crown for strongest ship?

Dear Parents/Guardians of Fremont/A.D. Hay Students:
The Ag. Activity, put on by LHS students, that was scheduled for March 13th has been cancelled. We will keep in touch with information about a rescheduled date at a later time. Thank you for understanding.
Lakeview High School is so proud of senior, Riley Stubbs for placing 3rd place in her weight class at the OSAA Wrestling State Championships this past weekend in Portland! Congrats, Riley!

Thank you to the community for your support of the Union Carnival, it is a treasured tradition at our little school! It was a great turnout and we could not pull it off without all of our donors, volunteers, staff, students, and participants.
All of the funds go to support Union Elementary educational enrichment, library, field trips, and traditions.

If your Fremont or AD Hay student has signed up for the Ag. Activity today at the high school, please direct all questions to Kaylie Stevenson at stevenson.kaylie@lakeview.k12.or.us.
Thank you!
Fremont and A.D. Hay Parents/Guardians:
Our annual Spring fundraiser kicked off yesterday. Your student should have brought home a packet with order forms and detailed instructions.
This year, families and friends of your student can choose to purchase products online, or your student can sell products in person. Below is a QR code to create your parent portal. Take a screen shot and then press and hold on the QR to open the link. If you have any questions regarding the process, please feel free to reach out to Carlee at 541-947-2136 or Bonnie at 541-947-2553.
Thank you once again for your continued support!

There will be a senior parent meeting tonight at 6 p.m. in the LHS cafeteria.

Congratulations to Clayton Crawford on being selected as a local finalist in the National Civics Bee!
Clayton wrote an essay on the impact of healthy foods on kids including their ability to learn and impact on their emotions.

Last night, the school board voted for us to make up one of the three days missed due to inclement weather. This make-up day will take place on Friday, March 14th, which will be a regular school day, which means that the week of March 10th through 14th will be a 5-day school week. Thank you!

Please see the attached press release from Lake County ESD and Lake County School District #7.
